Coffee And Tea Parties

As the summer days begin to head into the
sunset. there is still time to have a fantastic
social gathering of family, friends, and
neighbors.

While it is grown-up in character, serving
coffee and tea to the adults, the children can
be entertained with fruit juices, icy cold water
and fruit bars chilled or frozen. Games and
songs, while some consider old-fashioned,
will delight the younger set while the adults
sit around and sip, taste, and converse.

It is the type of party where relaxation is the
prime activity and sharing of the latest news
comes next. While the days may be hot, a good
cup of coffee, flavored, or just plain will soothe
frazzled summertime nerves and bring out the
mellow in more than the brew. Cafe-au-lait or
iced coffee is a refreshing consideration.

You can serve hot or iced tea, green or black,
depending on your taste buds.

The goodies can be anything from small sand-
wiches, using a doughnut cutter. Fill with cheese
spreads, light salads, such as tuna, chicken or
egg, and decorate with cherry tomatoes, olives,
or pickles on picks. Cheese cakes go fast, and
tortes can feature fruit in season. Pies are also
a delight and can be cool and refreshing, such
as lemon or lime.

You can even serve salads such as shrimp or
Cobb and accompany with tiny rolls or cocktail
breads. Butter curls are easy and give a certain
elegance to your table.

For the children, pizza or tiny taco shells that they
can fill with all kinds of great choices gives them a
chance to be grown-up enough to pick and choose.
Some will try
new and others will stick to the tried and true but
may add one dab of something new and fall in
love for life with their new found taste sensation.

It is fun, easy on the host/hostess and guests. It is
relaxing, and a great way to discuss the upcoming
school year or the unforgettable vacation you just
came home from.

The one prime ingredient is to relax, shine in your
own sunshine and get to know your guests just a little
bit more. Life just doesn’t get better than this.
