Ocd Forum - Question Your Ocd So That It Looks And Feels Ridiculous To You!

Have you ever seen yourself doing rituals?

Have you ever said what you are doing out loud?

I guarantee that if you call yourself out on what you’re doing out loud it will seem more ridiculous to you and then you can question it.

Ask yourself, “Why am I doing this to myself? “What’s preventing me from quitting OCD?”

Asking yourself these questions is the same method Einstein used to come up with his theories. Asking questions like a child would and working backwards in a way.

So let’s take up Einstein on his thinking method and apply it to OCD. Question everything.

Once you do this, you may never feel like doing that ritual again. How much of a relief would that be for you?

Once you go through this process, you’ll not only see how ridiculous it is, but you will feel embarrassed and then you’ll feel how ridiculous these rituals are. Once you feel how ridiculous the ritual is, it’s exponentially easier to quit performing it. You may even become appalled of the thought of ever doing it again and that is all you’ll ever need to make sure you don’t do it again.

Take action: Right now, if you have OCD, there are some rituals you can probably think of right now that you do and that are a problem for you. Question these, say out loud what you are doing while you’re doing the ritual. Embarrass yourself and show yourself how ridiculous these rituals are.
