How To Fade The Golf Ball
The fade is a great shot to play, especially off the tee. It is easier to control than the draw and is the “go to” shot of many professionals when they need to put the ball in play. It does not travel as far as a draw, but hitting that second shot out of the fairway is more important than distance. If you don’t believe me, Jack Nicklaus routinely played a fade.
The fade is the opposite of a draw. It will produce more backspin on the ball and create a left to right ball flight for a right-handed player. The ball flight will be the opposite for a left-handed player, right to left.
